# Receive tokens

> Deposit tokens into your Squad

Deposit tokens into your Squad by sharing your sub-account address with the sender. All deposits appear in your Treasury once the transaction confirms on Solana.

## How to receive deposits

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Receive Assets">
    Select the QR code icon under your Squad's name in the sidebar. The **Receive Assets** window opens.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the target sub-account">
    Under **Account**, choose which sub-account should receive the deposit.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Share your address">
    Copy your deposit address or share the QR code with the sender.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Once the sender completes their transfer, tokens appear in your Treasury within seconds.

## Deposit from your connected wallet

The **Deposit** button sends tokens from your connected wallet straight into a sub-account.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the deposit form">
    Navigate to **Treasury** in the sidebar and select **Deposit**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the details">
    Under **Account**, choose the sub-account to deposit into. Choose the token and enter the amount.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Select **Deposit** and approve the transaction in your wallet. The transfer comes from your own wallet, so it does not create a proposal.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  Your sub-account address is a Solana address. It can only receive tokens on the Solana blockchain. Do not send tokens from other networks (Ethereum, Bitcoin, etc.) to this address.
</Info>

## Which address to share

Use your sub-account address for deposits. Each sub-account has its own unique address.

To find the address for a specific sub-account, navigate to that sub-account in your Treasury and select the copy icon. For more on how addresses work, see [Sub-accounts](/app-guide/treasury/sub-accounts).

## Supported assets

Squads supports SPL tokens on Solana, including SOL, USDC, USDT, governance and utility tokens, wrapped tokens (wSOL), and Token-2022 standard tokens.

<Warning>
  Some collectible tokens and compressed assets may not display or transfer correctly. Test with a small amount before depositing collectibles.
</Warning>

## Best practices

* **Verify the network.** Confirm the sender is transferring on Solana, not another blockchain.
* **Test first.** When receiving from a new source, request a small test deposit.

<Accordion title="Troubleshooting">
  | Issue | Solution |
  | - | - |
  | Deposit not showing | Check the transaction on a Solana explorer. Verify the sender used the correct sub-account address |
  | Sent on wrong network | Tokens sent on other networks cannot be recovered from a Solana address |
  | SOL appears as wSOL | Some protocols wrap SOL automatically. Open the sub-account in **Treasury**, select the three-dot menu on the wSOL row, and select **Unwrap**. You can also swap wSOL to SOL in **Trade** (1:1, no slippage) |
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="FAQ">
  **How long do deposits take?**

  Deposits typically appear within seconds after the transaction confirms on Solana. If a deposit is not showing, verify the transaction on a Solana explorer and check that the sender used the correct sub-account address.

  **Why do I see wrapped SOL (wSOL) instead of SOL?**

  Some protocols and exchanges wrap SOL into an SPL token (wSOL) automatically. wSOL and SOL are equivalent in value, but some operations (like paying proposal fees) require native SOL. To convert, open the sub-account in **Treasury**, select the three-dot menu on the wSOL row, and select **Unwrap**. This creates a proposal for your Squad to approve. You can also go to **Trade** and swap wSOL to SOL. The conversion is 1:1 with no slippage.
