# Batch Account

## Overview

Batch accounts store a collection of vault transactions, allowing them to be voted on and executed with minimal actions through a single proposal.

## Quick Example

```typescript theme={null}
import * as multisig from "@sqds/multisig";
import { PublicKey } from "@solana/web3.js";
// Batch uses the same derivation as transactions
const [batchPda] = multisig.getTransactionPda({
  multisigPda,
  index: transactionIndex,
});
```

## PDA Derivation

A batch account is derived with these seeds (same as transactions):

```
["multisig", multisig_key (as buffer), "transaction", transaction_index]
```

## Account Fields

| Field | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `multisig` | `Pubkey` | The multisig this belongs to |
| `creator` | `Pubkey` | Member who submitted the batch |
| `index` | `u64` | Index within the multisig transactions |
| `bump` | `u8` | PDA bump |
| `vaultIndex` | `u8` | Index of the vault this batch belongs to |
| `vaultBump` | `u8` | Derivation bump of the vault PDA |
| `size` | `u32` | Number of transactions in the batch |
| `executedTransactionIndex` | `u32` | Last executed transaction index (0 = none executed) |

## Batch Workflow

1. Create a batch
2. Create a proposal as a draft
3. Add transactions to the batch
4. Activate the proposal
5. Vote on the proposal
6. Execute the proposal

## Internal Transaction Indexing

Batches have their own internal transaction index context:

* The batch itself uses a global `transactionIndex` (like other transactions)
* Transactions within the batch use an internal index starting at 1
* When adding transactions, specify both the global `batchIndex` and internal `transactionIndex`
