# Create a Squad and Execute Your First Transaction

## Overview

Use `multisigCreateV2` and Vault Transactions to execute your first actions with Squads.

**Time to complete**: \~10 minutes

## Prerequisites

* Node.js installed
* `@sqds/multisig` and `@solana/web3.js` packages installed
* A Solana RPC endpoint

## Quick Example

```typescript theme={null}
import * as multisig from "@sqds/multisig";
import { Connection, Keypair } from "@solana/web3.js";

const connection = new Connection("<your rpc url>", "confirmed");

const createKey = Keypair.generate();
const [multisigPda] = multisig.getMultisigPda({
  createKey: createKey.publicKey,
});
```

  Use `multisigCreateV2` instead of the deprecated `multisigCreate`. Save the `createKey` public key or multisig address for future reference.

## Error Handling

| Error | Cause | Solution |
| - | - | - |
| Account not found | Multisig PDA does not exist | Verify the multisig was created and confirm the createKey is correct |
| `InvalidThreshold` | Threshold exceeds the number of members with Voter permissions | Set threshold to be less than or equal to the number of members with Voter permissions |
| `Unauthorized` | Signer lacks required permissions | Verify the signer has the appropriate permissions (Proposer, Voter, or Executor) |
| `InvalidProposalStatus` | Attempting to execute before threshold reached | Wait for sufficient approvals before executing |
| `InvalidTransactionIndex` | Transaction index does not exist | Verify the transaction index exists on the multisig |
