# Wallet Standard

## Overview

The Wallet Standard is a protocol and collection of interfaces that allows apps to automatically detect wallets installed by the user. SquadsX implements the Wallet Standard and should be recognized by most apps.

## What SquadsX supports

SquadsX registers as **SquadsX** and supports these features:

* `standard:connect`, `standard:disconnect`, and `standard:events`
* `solana:signTransaction`, for legacy and version 0 transactions. Wallet Adapter's `signAllTransactions` uses it too.
* `fuse:getEphemeralSigners`. See [Ephemeral Signers](/integrations/squadsx/developer-guide/ephemeral-signers).

SquadsX does not support `solana:signAndSendTransaction`, `solana:signMessage`, or `solana:signIn`. It signs, and your app sends the transaction: Wallet Adapter's `sendTransaction` does this for you through your app's RPC connection. Only Solana mainnet is supported.

## Problem

Not every app uses the latest Wallet Adapter version that supports the Wallet Standard. If your app doesn't detect an installed SquadsX extension, this is likely the cause.

## Solution

Update the [Wallet Adapter](https://github.com/anza-xyz/wallet-adapter) package to the latest version that supports the Wallet Standard.
