# Costs of Using Squads

> Network fees, platform fees, and what they cover

## Overview

Here's everything you need to know about fees when using Squads.

## Network Fees

Network fees are paid to the Solana network for processing transactions. Squads transactions cost more than regular wallet transactions because multisigs require more computation and storage.

### Why Are Fees Higher Than Regular Wallets?

Squads uses [smart accounts](https://squads.xyz/blog/smart-account-basics-why-smart-accounts-will-power-the-onchain-economy) to enforce multisig logic. Smart accounts require more computation and storage than traditional wallets.

A portion of these fees are [rent](https://solana.com/docs/core/fees#rent) for storing data onchain. You can recover rent from finalized transactions using the [Rent Reclaim](/app-guide/settings/rent-reclaim) feature.

## Platform Fees

| Fee | Cost |

| Squad deployment | 0.1 SOL (one-time) |
| Limit Orders | 0.15% per executed order |
| DCA | 0.1% per executed order (Jupiter's fee) |

Creating a Squad also deposits 0.001 SOL into the new Squad and pays network rent for its account.

  All network fees are charged by Solana. Squads does not charge fees on transactions except for Limit Orders. The DCA fee is charged by Jupiter, which runs DCA orders.

## Troubleshooting

| Issue | Cause | Solution |
| - | - | - |
| Fees higher than expected | Network congestion or complex transaction | Check Solana network conditions. Use [Rent Reclaim](/app-guide/settings/rent-reclaim) to recover storage rent. |
| Rent reclaim not working | Transaction not finalized or rent already reclaimed | Verify transaction status is Executed, Cancelled, or Rejected. Check if rent was already reclaimed. |
