Fee Relayer is available on the Pro plan.
Who pays for what
With Fee Relayer enabled, the Squad covers everything. With it disabled, members pay for creating, approving, and executing proposals from their own wallets, including the rent for the accounts a proposal creates.
The Fee Relayer only pays for members that sign with their own wallet. A member that connects through SquadsX signs through the Squad behind SquadsX, so this Squad’s Fee Relayer never pays for it. The fees are paid as for any SquadsX transaction: by that Squad’s Fee Relayer if it has one enabled, otherwise by the SquadsX key (see Fee configuration).
Enable Fee Relayer
- Navigate to Settings and open the Other tab
- On the Fee relayer row, select Enable Fee relayer. Your wallet sends 0.06 SOL to fund the new relayer address
- This creates a proposal that adds a 1 SOL per day spending limit from your Squads Vault to the relayer address. Members approve and execute it on the Transactions page
- Once the proposal is executed, the Fee Relayer is active
Maintain the balance
The Fee Relayer pays fees from its own address, which is funded from your Squads Vault through its 1 SOL per day spending limit. When a refill is needed, a Refill button appears on the Fee relayer row in Settings. Keep enough SOL in your Squads Vault to cover refills. If the relayer has no SOL left, send SOL directly to the relayer address shown in Settings. You can check the current Fee Relayer balance in the status bar at the bottom of the app on desktop. The relayer address and its spending limit usage are shown on the Fee relayer row in Settings.Disable for a single proposal
If Fee Relayer is enabled but you want to pay for a specific proposal from your personal wallet, open the proposal, select Advanced, and check Fee Relayer (Disable Fee Relayer for execution). See Priority Fees for details.Troubleshooting
