Spending limits let specific members or external wallets send predetermined amounts from your Squad without requiring full approval. This streamlines routine operations while maintaining security through caps on amount, token, timeframe, and destination. Spending limits apply to transfers only. They do not apply to trading, staking, or other actions.
Spending limits are available on the Pro plan.

Add a spending limit

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Open the Spending limits tab and select Add spending limit
  3. Configure the parameters below
  4. Review and select Initiate to submit the proposal for approval

View spending limits

Active spending limits appear in two places: on the member’s row on the Members page, and in the Spending limits tab in Settings.

Update or remove a spending limit

  1. Navigate to Settings and open the Spending limits tab
  2. Find the spending limit and select the Edit spending limit or Remove spending limit icon
  3. Make changes and select Initiate to submit the proposal for approval
Updating a spending limit replaces it and resets the amount already used.
Members with a spending limit can select it when sending tokens to send without going through the full proposal process.

Best practices

  • Specify destinations to restrict sends to known addresses rather than allowing any address
  • Review regularly and audit limits periodically to ensure they match current operations
  • Remove promptly when members leave the organization
What actions do spending limits apply to?Transfers only, including crypto sends and fiat transfers. They do not apply to trading, staking, or other Squad actions. How is this different from the threshold? The threshold requires multiple approvals for every proposal. Spending limits let specific members bypass the threshold for routine sends up to the configured amount. Can a member have multiple spending limits?Yes. You can set different limits for different tokens, sub-accounts, or destinations.
