Use Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) to automatically buy or sell tokens over time. Set your amount, interval, and number of orders, and the strategy executes automatically without requiring approval for each individual trade.
Each DCA order must be worth more than $50, and a strategy needs at least 2 orders. A 0.1% platform fee is charged per order.

How it works

DCA splits a single trade into multiple smaller orders at regular intervals. When you create a strategy, your tokens are transferred to a Jupiter escrow account. Each order executes automatically at the set interval until all orders complete or you cancel. This reduces the impact of price volatility by spreading trades over time rather than executing all at once.

Create a DCA strategy

  1. Navigate to Trade in the sidebar
  2. Select the DCA tab
  3. Choose the sub-account you want to trade from
  4. Select the token to sell (e.g., USDC) and the token to buy (e.g., SOL)
  5. Enter the total amount to sell
  6. Set the Number of orders: how many individual trades to split the total into (2 to 1,000)
  7. Under Run every, set the interval: how often each order executes (a number of Minutes, Hours, Days, Weeks, or Months)
  8. (Optional) Set a price range with min and max prices. Orders only execute when the market falls within this range
  9. Select Next and review the details:
    • Sell per order: amount sold in each individual order
    • Order interval: time between each order
    • Number of orders: total orders in the strategy
    • Rate: current exchange rate
    • Platform fee: 0.1% per order
    • Min/Max price: your price range (if set)
  10. Add a note (optional) and select Initiate to create the proposal
Once the proposal reaches the threshold and is executed, the DCA strategy becomes active.
Trading a token for the first time? You need 0.003 SOL to create the token account (ATA).

Manage active strategies

Active strategies appear in Active orders on the DCA tab under Trade. Past strategies are in Order history.
  1. Navigate to Trade in the sidebar and select the DCA tab
  2. Expand any strategy to view progress and the amounts deposited, used, and received
  3. To cancel, select Cancel on the strategy. This creates a cancel proposal. Unexecuted funds return to your sub-account

Best practices

  • Match interval to your timeline. Shorter intervals (minute/hour) for quick accumulation, longer intervals (day/week/month) for gradual positions.
  • Use price ranges strategically. Set a range to only buy when prices dip below a threshold, or only sell above a target.
  • Consider order count vs size. More orders means smaller individual trades, reducing single-trade price impact but extending the strategy duration.
